Following the Europe region general meeting held on 14-15 May 2026 in Pristina, Kosovo, and the Africa region general meeting held on 4 June 2026 in Kigali, Rwanda, the following candidates have been elected to serve on their executive committees.
The following candidates have been elected to serve a four-year term on the Europe region executive committee with immediate effect:
- Chair: Tim Nemeth, member of AXXON, Physical Therapy in Belgium
- Second vice chair: Michele Cannone, Italian Association of Physiotherapy
- Executive committee member: Adérito Seixas, Order of Physiotherapists, Portugal
- Executive committee member: Fran Theron, Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists
The following candidates have been elected to serve on the Africa region executive committee and will start their four-year terms of office on 1 July 2026:
- Chair: Henry Opondo, Kenya Society of Physiotherapists
- Executive committee member: Ahissan Mathias Krou, Association of Kinesiotherapists of Ivory Coast
An additional election for a casual vacancy for the Africa region is currently underway.
